About The Candidate

With family roots in Homer Township going back to the 1960s, Thomas Sigel has made full circle and returned to his hometown. After leaving Homerville in 1983 to pursue further education, Thomas harnessed his career overseas working on agricultural joint ventures with emerging Eastern European countries.

He also worked in international banking, as an economic policy analyst and led higher educational academic publishing programs. In 2006, Thomas started an editorial and publishing consulting service, T Sigel Consulting. He also established Sigel Press.

In 2010, Thomas founded Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO), a philanthropic organization that makes music, arts and culture accessible to all, with a focus on programming for underserved, disadvantaged and rural populations.

Thomas is deeply committed to the community. He is a lifetime member of Leadership Medina County and has served on many Medina County Boards over the years. He currently is an active member of the Wadsworth Area Chamber of Commerce and the Black River Ruritan Club. With his political science background, successful business experience, which includes grant writing, Thomas is ready to serve the needs of Homer Township residents.
